Appearance: 5'10" slender curvaceous hourglass figure, long dark hair, brown eyes, looks a little younger than her age. Personality: Having been aware of her abilities and trained from an early age by her mother, Mia is at peace with who she is and what she can do. She is neither particularly 'moral' nor 'immoral', and follows her own ethical code. The way she interacts with other characters will depend greatly on her personal opinion of them. Skills: Naturally perceptive and good with people, Mia is a pretty good salesperson (of course, it doesn't hurt that she's in a fairly niche market) Is quite skilled in various crafts, sculpting and jeweling being among her favourite pastimes. She does these things for pleasure, although she does sell a few of her pieces in the shop. Mia is also a trained midwife and a skilled herbalist. Powers: A Seer, Mia's natural abilities are mostly visual in nature. She is gifted with la Verità Visione (the True Sight - the ability to see the true nature of things and creatures simply by looking at them) and Visions (past sight, present sight, and possible future sight), Proiezione Astrale (she can Astrally Project herself either to watch invisibly or to project an image of herself to someone), and Accompagnare Sognare (Dream Walking - the ability to appear in the dreams of another person at will). As a practicing witch, Mia can also work spells to manifest her will, and she is able manifest other supernatural abilities, (like telekinesis or telepathy for instance) but because she does not have a natural aptitude for these abilities, they are not her strong point, so she will never be even remotely as strong in these areas as someone who is naturally talented in these areas. Doing these things tends to be a big drain her energy. IE; she could make an object say, a mug, slide across a surface, but she'd have to work at it, and the effort would leave her feeling quite exhausted. If she overspends herself trying to do these things that don't come to her naturally, she could fall unconscious, or even into a coma. History: Mia grew up in Rome, where she trained and practiced as a midwife. In her mid 20's, she was in a car accident which killed her husband and parents and caused her to miscarry the baby she was pregnant with at the time. After the loss of her own baby, Mia could not bear to practice midwifery anymore, and chose instead to use the shop she had inherited from her parents. Her parents had been antique dealers, but she converted the shop into La Casa della Luna. Her father was Catholic, and her mother was a witch 'in the broom closet' so Mia is a baptized Catholic, but her mother secretly initiated Mia into the tradition of Religio Romana (Roman Paganism) and the arts of witchcraft. Mia no longer practices Catholicism at all (though she feels no particular enmity toward Catholicism) and is quite open about her paganism. | ||||||||||
